How do I book tickets?
You can book tickets in many ways, view our Booking Information page

 

Is there a car park at the Theatre?
No. The nearest car park is 2 minutes walk in Trenchard Street to the rear of the venue. An alternative can be found at Millenium Square around 5 minutes scenic walk along the waterfront. Prices are subject to change and as such we do not list them.

 

Do you get return tickets for sold out shows?
Our policy dictates that we do not refund tickets and as a result we very rarely have unwanted returned tickets.

 

Do you have a taxi rank outside the Theatre?
Yes we have taxi rank directly outside the box office at the front of the theatre which operates from 6pm and a larger rank just across the centre at the front of the venue.

 

Are there any restricted view seats in the Theatre?
The set up of some shows may result in some restricted views. Our advice would be to query at time of booking.

 

How many seats does the theatre have?
1951

 

When did the Theatre first open?
The theatre first opened its doors on 16th December 1912, so we will shortly be celebrating our centenary. Please keep a look out for further information or forward suggestion of how you would wish to be see the celebrations happen to bristoladmin@theambassadors.com

 

Do you sell Gift Vouchers?
Yes you can purchase these at the box office or online.

I’d like to bring a group of 10 people to the theatre, is this possible?
Yes. Please see our groups section on the website or call 0844 372 7272 Mon - Fri 10am - 6pm where our dedicated groups team will be only too willing to assist. There is also no upper limit on the number of tickets you can purchase via the box office, except subject to availability.

 

Are there disabled parking spaces?
There is on street parking which blue badge holders can use although we do not have any parking space allocated to the venue.

 

Do you have a lift in the Theatre?
No. We are an old style listed building and we have many restrictions that do not allow for a lift to be fitted.

How many steps are in the Theatre?
There are 11 Steps in the Main Foyer Leading into the Stalls

There are 52 Steps from the Main Entrance to the rear of the Grand Circle

There are 74 Steps from Cast Bar to the rear of the Upper Circle

There are 16 Steps to the Lower Side Boxes (J, K, L, P, Q, R)

There are 32 Steps to the Higher Side Boxes (M, N, O, S, T, U)

 

Do you have a loop system?
Yes we have both a loop system to assist patrons who use hearing aids. We also operate a Sennheiser infra-red system. These can be collected from each of the kiosks in the auditorium.
